Welcome to the Jawahar Bharathi Institute Of Medical Sciences

Jawahar Bharathi Institute Of Medical Sciences (JBIMS) is the latest addition to the Visvodaya Educational Institutions located in Kavali, AP. The Visvodaya society was founded in 1952 in a sprawling campus of 100 Acres to expand educational and social service activities in the town of Kavali. The society adopted the motto ‘Tamasoma Jyothirgamaya’ and fixed its goals as Academic excellence, Social Justice, Cultural richness, Democratic thinking, Humanism and the development of human personality. Kavali College (The original college name) was rechristened as Jawahar Bharati in 1965 with Dr. Zakir Hussain, the then Vice President of India as the Chief Guest. It was a tribute paid to Pundit Nehru by Visvodaya.

B.Sc Nursing is a 4-year degree course that will start from the academic year 2023-24 for both women and men. Jawahar Bharathi Institute Of Medical Sciences is affiliated to and registered with YSR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, AP.
